bibliotheca

Scholarly book repository

Bibliotheca is a formal or archaic term for a library or collection of books.

The word appears in the names of certain classical and medieval book collections, and occasionally in scholarly or ecclesiastical contexts: The monastery's bibliotheca contained rare manuscripts.

In modern English, library has almost entirely displaced it.
