berliner
German pastry treat
A berliner is a filled doughnut without a center hole, typically round with jam or cream inside and dusted with powdered sugar or icing on top.
The pastry is especially associated with German-speaking countries and their culinary influence: I grabbed a berliner from the bakery for breakfast. (Capitalized Berliner refers to a person from Berlin.)
