bedgown
Loose nighttime wrap
A bedgown is a loose, simple garment worn in bed or around the house, historically by women and children.
In the 18th and 19th centuries, it was a practical working garment for lower-class women—a short jacket-like top worn over a petticoat: She threw on her bedgown and went to check on the baby.
