barwoman

Female drink mixer

A barwoman is a woman who serves drinks in a bar—the female equivalent of barman.

The term is less common than bartender, which has become the gender-neutral standard in American English.

British usage retains barman and barmaid more often, with barwoman appearing occasionally as a parallel to barman.
