back heel
Behind-the-leg pass
A back heel is a move in soccer where a player kicks the ball backward using their heel, typically to pass to a teammate behind them: He flicked a clever back heel to set up the goal.
The term also works as a verb: She back-heeled it into the net.
Back heels are stylish but risky—easy to misplace.
