audio sync
Sound matches picture
Audio sync is the alignment of sound with its corresponding visual elements, particularly in video and film.
When audio sync is off, dialogue doesn't match lip movements or sound effects lag behind their visual cues: The audio sync was terrible—explosions happened a full second after they appeared on screen.
To sync audio is to correct such misalignment.
