alphabet songs
ABC learning melodies
Alphabet songs are musical compositions designed to teach the sequence of letters, typically sung to simple, memorable melodies.
The most familiar in English uses the tune of "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star." Children learn these early, and the songs often persist as mental scaffolding—many adults still sing through the alphabet song to remember letter order: I had to sing the alphabet song to figure out if M comes before N.
