Terminal surveillance system
Airport radar is the system of radar installations used to track aircraft in and around airports.
Ground controllers use it to monitor incoming and outgoing flights, maintain safe separation between aircraft, and guide planes during takeoff, landing, and taxiing.
The pilot appeared as a blip on the airport radar.
