aerial map
Bird's-eye geography
An aerial map is a map created from photographs taken from above, typically from aircraft or satellites.
Unlike traditional maps drawn from ground surveys, aerial maps show terrain, buildings, and land features as they actually appear from overhead: The aerial map revealed how much the forest had receded since the previous decade.
