action button
Clickable interface element
An action button is a clickable element in a user interface that triggers a specific function—submit, save, delete, confirm.
The term emphasizes that clicking produces an immediate effect rather than navigation.
In email and social media, action buttons let users respond directly: The action button in the notification let me RSVP without opening the app.
