Door-opening ID card
An access badge is a card or token that grants entry to restricted areas, typically worn visibly on a lanyard or clip.
Most contain embedded chips or magnetic strips that authenticate the holder when swiped or tapped against a reader: She forgot her access badge and had to wait for security.
