Zoom fatigue is the exhaustion that comes from video calls, named after the conferencing platform but applicable to any such software.
The strain arises from maintaining constant eye contact, seeing one's own face, staying visibly attentive, and the cognitive load of reading people through a screen: After five hours of meetings, the Zoom fatigue hit hard.
