Windows key
Logo-marked shortcut activator
The Windows key is a modifier key on PC keyboards, marked with the Microsoft Windows logo, typically located between Ctrl and Alt.
Pressing it alone opens the Start menu; combined with other keys, it triggers system shortcuts like Win+D to show the desktop or Win+L to lock the screen.
On keyboards designed for other operating systems, the equivalent key may be labeled differently but often functions the same way when running Windows.
