Wi-Fi calling
Calls over internet
Wi-Fi calling is a feature that lets you make and receive phone calls over a wireless internet connection instead of a cellular network.
It's useful in buildings with poor cell reception but strong Wi-Fi: I enabled Wi-Fi calling because my apartment is a dead zone.
The calls use your regular phone number and typically count against your plan minutes like ordinary calls.
