Wendy Darling
Wendy Darling is the protagonist of J.M.
Barrie's *Peter Pan*, the eldest child who travels with Peter to Neverland and becomes a mother figure to the Lost Boys.
Her name, relatively rare before 1904, became common after the play's success.
Wendy has come to represent the transition from childhood imagination to adult responsibility—she alone chooses to grow up.
She was the Wendy of their friend group, always looking after everyone.
