Wayne's World
Cable access comedy
Wayne's World is a comedy franchise originating from Saturday Night Live sketches in the late 1980s, featuring two slacker metalheads hosting a public-access cable show from a basement in Aurora, Illinois.
The sketches spawned two films and popularized catchphrases like Excellent! , Party on! , Schwing! , and That's what she said.
The phrase "Wayne's World" sometimes describes any amateurish broadcasting setup or enthusiastic fan culture: His podcast is basically Wayne's World for craft beer nerds.
