Viking sword
Medieval Nordic steel
A Viking sword is a double-edged blade used by Scandinavian warriors during the Viking Age, roughly 800–1100 CE.
The design features a broad blade, a short crossguard, and a distinctive lobed pommel.
The term now applies loosely to any sword in this style, whether historical or modern replica: He collects Viking swords and other medieval weapons.
