Turkish March
Alla turca movement
A Turkish March is a piece of music imitating the style of Ottoman military bands, characterized by a bright tempo and percussion-heavy instrumentation suggesting marching soldiers.
The most famous examples are movements from Mozart's Piano Sonata No. 11 and Beethoven's incidental music to *The Ruins of Athens*: She played the Turkish March at the recital.
