Top Spin
Ball dips faster
Top spin is rotation applied to a ball so its top surface moves forward in the direction of travel.
In tennis, table tennis, and other racket sports, top spin causes the ball to dip faster and bounce higher, giving players more margin for error and aggressive angles: She hit a heavy top spin forehand that kicked up off the court.
The technique contrasts with backspin, where the ball rotates in the opposite direction.
