Tipperary

Munster region county

Tipperary is a county in southern Ireland, part of the province of Munster, known for its fertile farmland and historical sites including the Rock of Cashel.

The name became widely familiar through the World War I marching song "It's a Long Way to Tipperary," which British soldiers adopted as an anthem.

The phrase it's a long way to Tipperary has since become an expression for any distant or difficult-to-reach destination.
