Thing Two
Cat's second helper
Thing Two is one of the mischievous characters from Dr.
Seuss's *The Cat in the Hat*, always paired with Thing One.
The two are identical troublemakers released from a box to cause chaos.
In casual use, being called Thing Two suggests you're the secondary or subordinate partner in a pair: I'm tired of being Thing Two in this relationship.
