The Wonder Years
Idealized youth period
The Wonder Years is an American television series (1988–1993) that depicted suburban adolescence in the late 1960s and early 1970s through the nostalgic lens of an adult narrator.
The phrase has come to refer more broadly to one's formative years—typically late childhood through adolescence—viewed with wistful nostalgia: Looking back on my wonder years, everything seemed simpler.
