T-bone collision

Side-impact car crash

A T-bone collision is a vehicle crash where the front of one car strikes the side of another, forming a T shape at impact.

Also called a broadside or side-impact collision.

These crashes often occur at intersections when one driver runs a red light or stop sign: She was hospitalized after a T-bone collision at the four-way stop.
