Swedish massages
Long-stroke bodywork sessions
Swedish massages are a type of massage therapy using long, gliding strokes, kneading, and circular movements on superficial muscle layers.
The technique emphasizes relaxation over deep tissue work, typically incorporating oil or lotion: I booked a Swedish massage at the spa.
Despite the name, the method was likely developed in the Netherlands, not Sweden.
