Scarlett O'Hara
Scarlett O'Hara is the protagonist of Margaret Mitchell's 1939 novel *Gone with the Wind*, a headstrong Southern belle who survives the Civil War through sheer willfulness.
The name has become shorthand for a certain type of manipulative charm combined with ruthless self-preservation: She pulled a Scarlett O'Hara and batted her eyes until he agreed. "Tomorrow is another day" is her famous line.
A Scarlett O'Hara is also a cocktail of Southern Comfort, cranberry juice, and lime.
