Rose Revolution
Tbilisi regime change
The Rose Revolution was the November 2003 peaceful uprising in Georgia that ousted President Eduard Shevardnadze following disputed parliamentary elections.
Protesters led by Mikheil Saakashvili stormed parliament carrying roses, forcing Shevardnadze's resignation.
The revolution became a model for subsequent "color revolutions" in former Soviet states, including Ukraine's Orange Revolution.
