Paschal cycle
Easter date system
The Paschal cycle is the recurring pattern used to calculate the date of Easter and related movable feasts in the Christian liturgical calendar.
Because Easter falls on the first Sunday after the first full moon following the spring equinox, the cycle coordinates lunar and solar calendars.
The full cycle repeats every 532 years in the Julian calendar, combining the 19-year lunar cycle with the 28-year solar cycle.
