Palm Island
Dubai's artificial archipelago
Palm Island refers to several places, most famously a group of artificial archipelagos off the coast of Dubai, built in the shape of palm trees and visible from space.
These luxury developments—Palm Jumeirah, Palm Jebel Ali, and Palm Deira—became symbols of extravagant real estate engineering in the early 2000s.
Palm Island is also a small island community in Queensland, Australia, and a resort destination in the Caribbean.
