Nazi salutes

Third Reich greetings

Nazi salutes are gestures associated with Nazi Germany, particularly the stiff-armed raised-hand salute used to honor Adolf Hitler and the regime.

The gesture is illegal in Germany and several other countries, and elsewhere it signals white supremacist or neo-Nazi allegiance.

Displaying it in public is widely considered hateful and provocative: Protesters were arrested after giving Nazi salutes outside the synagogue.
