Montecristo

Premium tobacco brand

Montecristo is a brand of premium cigars, originally Cuban and now produced in both Cuba and the Dominican Republic.

The name comes from the novel *The Count of Monte Cristo*, supposedly a favorite among cigar rollers.

Montecristo is also a small island in the Tuscan Archipelago, and the title character of Dumas's revenge novel: He fancied himself a Montecristo, plotting elaborate retribution.
