Mirandize
Recite arrest rights
To Mirandize someone is to read them their Miranda rights during an arrest—the warning that they have the right to remain silent, that anything they say can be used against them, and that they have the right to an attorney.
The term comes from the 1966 Supreme Court case *Miranda v.
Arizona*, which established these requirements.
The officer Mirandized the suspect before questioning.
