MOOC
Digital lecture series
MOOC is an acronym for Massive Open Online Course—a class offered freely on the internet to large numbers of participants.
MOOCs emerged in the 2010s as universities partnered with platforms to deliver lectures, assignments, and certificates to anyone with an internet connection: I took a MOOC on machine learning from Stanford.
