Laurel Canyon
Folk-rock neighborhood enclave
Laurel Canyon is a neighborhood in the Hollywood Hills of Los Angeles, known as a countercultural enclave where musicians and artists gathered in the 1960s and 70s.
The canyon gave its name to a sound—the folk-rock and soft rock of Joni Mitchell, the Byrds, and Crosby, Stills & Nash, who lived and collaborated there.
That record has a real Laurel Canyon vibe.
