Kitana is a fictional character in the Mortal Kombat video game franchise—a 10,000-year-old Edenian princess who wields bladed fans as weapons.
She first appeared in Mortal Kombat II (1993) and has remained a popular fighter in the series.
The name is often confused with katana, the Japanese sword, though the two are unrelated: She mains Kitana in tournaments.
