Karma Police

Fate's law enforcement

A reference to the Radiohead song of the same name, used to invoke imaginary enforcers of karmic justice—the idea that bad behavior will eventually be punished by the universe.

Someone might call for the karma police when witnessing wrongdoing: Karma police, arrest this man.

The phrase is usually playful or ironic, acknowledging that cosmic retribution is more wishful thinking than reliable system.
