K-horror

Seoul's terror films

K-horror refers to horror films and other media from South Korea.

The genre gained international recognition in the late 1990s and 2000s with films blending psychological dread, folklore, and social commentary.

Unlike the jump-scare emphasis of some Western horror, K-horror often builds atmospheric tension around themes of trauma, revenge, and supernatural curses: I've been on a K-horror binge lately.
