Jutes
Kent's first settlers
The Jutes were a Germanic people who, along with the Angles and Saxons, invaded and settled in Britain during the fifth and sixth centuries.
They established themselves primarily in Kent and the Isle of Wight.
The name survives mainly in historical discussions of Anglo-Saxon England: The Jutes, Angles, and Saxons formed the basis of early English society.
