Guarani

Paraguay's indigenous language

Guarani refers to an indigenous people of South America, primarily Paraguay, and their language.

Guarani is one of Paraguay's two official languages alongside Spanish, spoken by the majority of the population regardless of ethnicity—unusual for an indigenous American language.

The currency of Paraguay is also called the guarani.
