Grange

Agricultural fraternal organization

Grange appears in proper names of estates, manor houses, and farm properties throughout Britain and America: Thrushcross Grange, The Grange at High Force.

It also names the American farmers' organization founded after the Civil War to advocate for agricultural interests and provide social connection for rural communities.

Many towns have a Grange hall where members meet. (Lowercase grange is any farmstead or country estate.)
