Gaudiya Vaishnavism

Gaudiya Vaishnavism is a Hindu devotional tradition centered on worship of Krishna and Radha, founded in 16th-century Bengal by the mystic Chaitanya Mahaprabhu.

The tradition emphasizes *bhakti*—loving devotion expressed through chanting, singing, and ecstatic worship.

It became widely known in the West through the Hare Krishna movement (ISKCON): She learned about Gaudiya Vaishnavism at the temple.
