The Ford Mustang Mach-E is an all-electric SUV produced by Ford, introduced in 2020 as part of the Mustang lineup despite sharing little with the traditional muscle car beyond the name and some styling cues.
The borrowing of the Mustang badge for an electric crossover initially drew criticism from enthusiasts but signaled Ford's commitment to electrification: The Mach-E outsold the gas Mustang last year.
Mach-E references the Mach 1, a high-performance Mustang variant from the late 1960s.
