ECG machines
Cardiac rhythm recorders
ECG machines are medical devices that record the electrical activity of the heart, producing a graph called an electrocardiogram.
Electrodes attached to the skin detect the tiny electrical signals generated by each heartbeat.
Doctors use these readings to diagnose arrhythmias, heart attacks, and other cardiac conditions.
Also called EKG machines, from the German spelling Elektrokardiogramm.
