DNR form
No-resuscitation document
A DNR form is a legal document instructing medical personnel not to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation if a person's heart stops or they stop breathing.
DNR stands for "do not resuscitate." The form reflects a patient's wishes—often those with terminal illness or advanced age—to avoid aggressive intervention at the end of life.
The hospice nurse confirmed the DNR form was on file.
