DIMM

RAM circuit board

DIMM is an acronym for dual in-line memory module—a circuit board holding memory chips that plugs into a computer's motherboard.

The "dual" refers to separate electrical contacts on each side of the board, distinguishing it from older single in-line modules.

DIMMs are the standard form factor for desktop computer RAM: I upgraded my PC with an extra stick of DIMM.
