Children of Men
All mortal descendants
Children of Men is a 2006 dystopian film directed by Alfonso Cuarón, set in a near-future where humanity faces extinction from global infertility.
The title comes from a biblical phrase (Psalm 90) meaning all of humankind.
The film follows a man protecting the first pregnant woman in eighteen years.
Known for its long single-take sequences and bleak vision, it has become a touchstone for discussions of societal collapse and hope.
