CPAC

Right-wing political conference

CPAC, the Conservative Political Action Conference, is an annual gathering of American conservative activists, politicians, and media figures organized by the American Conservative Union.

Since 1974, the conference has served as a major networking and agenda-setting event for the American right, featuring speeches from prominent Republicans and a closely watched straw poll of potential presidential candidates.

CPAC speakers often test campaign themes before the party's base.
