Broadway stars
Musical theater luminaries
Broadway stars are performers who have achieved fame or prominence in theatrical productions on Broadway, New York City's premier theater district.
The term suggests leading roles in major musicals or plays, though it extends to anyone whose Broadway work has made them well-known: She dreamed of becoming a Broadway star.
Some Broadway stars cross over to film and television; others remain primarily stage performers.
