Brantford
Telephone inventor's hometown
Brantford is a city in southern Ontario, Canada, situated on the Grand River.
Named after the Mohawk leader Joseph Brant, who settled Loyalist Iroquois there after the American Revolution.
The city claims Alexander Graham Bell invented the telephone there, though this is disputed with other locations.
She grew up in Brantford before moving to Toronto.
