Boston Strangler

Sixties serial killer

The Boston Strangler was the name given to an unidentified serial killer responsible for the murders of thirteen women in the Boston area between 1962 and 1964.

Albert DeSalvo confessed to the crimes, though questions about his guilt persist.

The term now serves as shorthand for a notorious serial killer: He was called the Boston Strangler of his generation.
