Arabian camel

One-humped desert beast

The Arabian camel is the one-humped camel native to the Middle East and North Africa, also called the dromedary.

Distinguished from the two-humped Bactrian camel of Central Asia, it has been domesticated for thousands of years as a riding and pack animal in desert regions: Arabian camels can go days without water.
